What are SATs?
SATs are tests that will be administered to the children during May 2023.
The children will be doing:
-A reading test made of 2 papers.
-A maths arithmetic test
-A maths reasoning test
The grammar, spelling and punctuation is optional for schools to take.
How can I ask a parent/carer support my child?
The SATs tests shouldn't cause any stress for the children, therefore the children should not be working towards SATs. The tests are solely for teacher assessments and government data.
At home, you can be reading a variety of books with your child and asking them questions while they read aloud to you. They can also be accessing TT Rockstars, Mathletics, Reading eggs and Oxford Owl for extra practise.
