Millbrook Medical Practice opened in March 2010. The practice patient registration is growing rapidly and they are currently developing links with Millbrook Primary School in order to promote healthy lifestyles and encourage children to feel comfortable and happy if they need to attend the health centre for any reason.
As well as normal routine GP appointments and new patient health checks, some of the services they offer include health screening (e.g. blood pressure/height and weight checks/blood tests), child immunisations, travel immunisations, chronic disease monitoring (e.g. diabetes/asthma checks), family planning, minor surgery, smoking cessation and diet advice . They look forward to developing a link with the school teachers, parents and children.
